| The Truth About 9/11? |

To be honest, I haven't given much thought to September 11, 2001, for quite a while. I'm not sure exactly what I believed about that day up until yesterday, but I was most certainly skeptical about the true nature of events. I don't trust the Bush administration, and I've always believed that the war on terror was wrong and would only succeed in making terrorism worse. It's kind of obvious, isn't it? Which is why I laughed out loud when I saw this headline: "Spy Agencies Say Iraq War Worsens Terrorism Threat".A stark assessment of terrorism trends by American intelligence agencies has found that the American invasion and occupation of Iraq has helped spawn a new generation of Islamic radicalism and that the overall terrorist threat has grown since the Sept. 11 attacks. It took a report by the National Intelligence Estimate to come up with that information? My goodness. And then it occurred to me: I've been had! Again! Could this be a ploy to scare people even more, especially with an election looming? It smells a bit fishy. I've heard murmurs of "conspiracy theories" surrounding September 11, but I've never looked into any of them. And then last night, instead of getting our fix of "Northern Exposure" reruns, we watched this excellent lecture by David Ray Griffin in Copenhagen, "9/11: Should the Truth be Revealed or Concealed?" By the end of the program, I was pretty convinced of my skepticism. Griffin's speech is well thought-out and his evidence is quite compelling. He's not just some nutter out there with an axe to grind. I'm finding evidence all over the Internet from intelligent, well-respected people who are having a hard time believing the official "story." Right now I'm watching this new documentary called "9/11 Mysteries" and it's quite well made. Both videos are over an hour, but I highly recommend watching them. Here are a couple websites to check out: 911Truth.org and Scholars for 9/11 Truth.
